Traverse from Neelum Valley to Kaghan Valley

A 5th Episode of

During this field tour, we had the opportunity to traverse from the beautiful Neelum Valley to the scenic Kaghan Valley. This journey was not only a treat for the eyes, but it also gave us the opportunity to study the geological formations of the mighty Himalayas.

Our journey started from Neelum Valley, renowned for its picturesque landscapes and serene environment. We explored the river valleys and high mountain passes, and took note of the various tectonic activities that have shaped the region over millions of years.

As we travelled towards Kaghan Valley, we crossed over the Babusar Pass, a high mountain pass at an elevation of 4,173m above sea level. The stunning views of the surrounding mountains and glaciers left us spellbound and provided ample opportunities for photography.

Once we arrived at the Kaghan Valley, we observed the unique geological formations of the region, including the towering mountains and the deep valleys. We spent a few days in the Kaghan Valley, exploring the surrounding areas and learning more about the geology of the Himalayas.

Overall, this field tour was a remarkable experience that allowed us to traverse some of the most beautiful regions of the Himalayas while studying the geological formations that make up these majestic mountains. It was a journey filled with adventure, beauty and learning that will stay with us forever.
